But every movie I've tried since, including the special edition version of Spaceballs that we own, eventually comes out of sync with the audio. My first attempt at ripping a DVD worked great, the 1987 movie Spaceballs. It turns out there was a setting in the group policy that was keeping me from being able to use my DVD player. ( ) We are down to a single DVD player in the entire house, but every TV has a Roku. Recently, I moved towards a PLEX server to stream kids shows across the house. I use it for codec support on some old mpegs and I infrequently use it to rip YouTube help videos for my archive of "how to do stuff." Until now, I have only used VLC for a few niche items. Hello!
